First and foremost I am the daddy to my beautiful daughter Ariana, who was born on 6/27/2003. Next, I am the husband of Jessica, the greatest woman I have ever met and to me the essence and true definition of love. She is my strength, my spirit and my everything. Finally, I find myself a very lucky man because I get to make a living doing what I love the most.....DJing weddings. As you may have read on the home page, I started my mobile DJ career in 1992 when Bill Izer offered me to be his first DJ for his new company. After the first wedding I went to as Bill's assistant, I knew this was what I wanted to do. I helped Bill run Soundsations Entertainment Services, LLC for 13 years with extreme loyalty to Bill and Soundsations. One day Bill told me he wanted to sell the company, and as much as I wanted to buy the company, I could not afford what he wanted. So, I looked around and saw where my loyalty should have been laying all along. My beautiful wife and (at the time, newly born) daughter is where my loyalties now lay. So Amplified was born. Yes, it's true, as I mentioned in the About Us section, I did over 42 gigs in my first year. I mean it's not like I was an 18 year old kid that just blew in from out of town and decided to start a DJ company. Thankfully, I had already developed a reputation for being the best DJ in the
I am probably one of the more out-going DJs in the area. I feel that works to my advantage as it is easy for me to be whatever style DJ you need. I can easily be a "human jukebox" or "the life of the party" or anything in between. I have a very "take charge" attitude. Dave is probably the best surprise for Amplified Entertainment. Other than Dave Lynch, Dave Wharen is the most experienced member of Amplified Entertainment. He has been a DJ since 2004. He was the most requested DJ at his previous place of employment. Dave is very dedicated to his clients. He will guide you through your planning using his experience and expertise. One of the things I like most about Dave is his willingness to help Amplified Entertainment grow. He is very excited to be on the team and likes the direction Amplified is headed. Mike Assink - DJOther than my wife, Mike has probably been the most supportive of me and Amplified Entertainment. Mike has been with Amplified longer than anyone else. For 4 years now Mike has been DJing sweet 16s and school type functions. For as long as Mikey has been with me, he has only done a couple weddings by himself. If you are looking to save some money (and who isn't right now) without sacrificing quality, Mikey is probably the one for you. He is very capable of doing everything a professional wedding DJ can do, he is just a little more reserved. Don't let the quiet exterior fool you. Frequently, after we do a gig together, my stomach will literally hurt from laughing so much . His full time job is the golf pro at Maryland National Golf Course. Mikey is truly one of the most loyal and fun people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He seem to be the one that all the girls like the most, too. So, for weddings on a budget, or any corporate or private parties, Mikey is the man for you.
